How To Play Video, Rule Book & Expansion Figures

Hi, Destiny Aurora fans. I just wanted to do a quick update. 

I know some of you weren't happy with the rulebook, so I'm handling this in 2 ways. First, Lance Hinkle did a complete a How to Play video that explains all the rules and mechanics in detail. Check it out.

Secondly, one of the rule book writers from Catan is rewriting the rulebook for me and I'll have that online probably next month, after Kublacon. 

Here are the finished boxes of expansion miniatures. The figures will no longer be sold individually. Here are the groups. They range from $10 to $15. So not very expensive. If you would like any of them, let me know.

Below is a little preview of issue #3 and issue #4 is currently being drawn. The third novel, the conclusion to the Visarath War storyline is being proof read. Both will be heading to the printer in the next 30 days as well.

All Games Sent - Last Days of the Graphic Novel Kickstarter Exclusive

Hi, everyone. Most if not all of you should have received your games by now. For those of you that have missing or broken components, I hope that I have gotten back to you quickly enough. We definitely strive to get to you all in a very timely manner. 

There's only a few days left of the new Kickstarter 

So if you want the the Kickstarter Exclusive of the first 3 issues combined, the 3rd Novel will be released to donors first, or the All-In Bundle of Add-on figures if you missed them, now is the time. Once we hit another $500, they'll be special art made for the cover.

Also we'll be starting the Kickstarter for B&B's new game - Medakor. Check out the Facebook Page. 

Below is a facebook post from a fan and donor from Canada. I thought you might appreciate how he told a story with each picture taken throughout the game. Enjoy.

"All set out and ready to play! Who will be victorious? Jayce or Kunlore? The Renegades' mission begins with finding a derelict ship and trying to decipher the nature of its mission so a captured Dregg can be attended to... The explosion in the nearby Salvage did not help to give a head start on the Coalition."

"The Renegades beat the Coalition to the alien zoo but will they defeat the Zurathi and escape with what they need in time?"

"The Renegades and Coalition had to work together to take out the Zurathi then deal with the escaped Fire Angel. Although it seems someone slipped away with some key information during the chaos..."

"Wouldn't you know it? The World Event deck must have known the Fire Angel was on the loose, as our location was destroyed by flames. The Renegade assassin did not make it out safely (and was later taken prisoner by the Coalition). The appearance of Jayce distracts Kunlore from his objective. After close combat things are not looking good for the Renegade Commander. It looks like the Coalition may prevail."

"In orbit, both crews are fighting battles of their own with each other and approaching enemy vessels. Having only 2 crew members on the ship can prove to be a challenge....especially when a World Event prompts a mutiny on the Renegade bridge. Trixx is living up to her name."

"After Jayce takes Kunlore prisoner, Rolf is left to defend himself against a frightening new creature in the burned out location. You can almost hear him thinking, "It figures!"

"Trixx takes the death blow on an enemy vessel as a desperate plan is forming in her computer-enhanced mind. She will take the risk of getting to the Dregg prisoner before the Coalition finds him. A thief can be stealthy sometimes and this long shot paid off! She left the crew of the Destiny Aurora nothing but a body to find when they arrived at the dig site. Quickly returning to HER ship (how could Kunlore have let them down like this anyway?), she and two severely injured crew-mates barely arrive at Port Saven to end the very close chase across space (apparently the Coalition knew about the Gateway too but it was not enough to help them stop the Renegades). Hopefully their 2 captured crew will not divulge any secrets before the next mission! :O  "

I thought this was pretty cool and worth sharing. I'd love to hear some other stories develop as you play. I can also share them on the Destiny Horizons Facebook Page. If you've painted any of the figures, I'd be happy to post those as well.

SHIPPING CONTINUES & NEW KICKSTARTER EXCLUSIVE CAMPAIGN

I hope everyone had a great holiday. Most of you have already received your copy of the game and for those of you who haven't, we'll be continuing shipping later this week. We have been waiting for additional expansion figures to arrive from China, which we should have in a few days. 

I know everyone has been speculating on what the delay was and that's what it is. Thanks to those of you that have put up unboxing videos, it's greatly appreciated.

In other news we've launched a new campaign for Kickstarter exclusive Graphic Novel that compiles issues 1-3.

I'm currently editing the 3rd Destiny Aurora novel so that should be done in the next few months and the 3rd issue of the comic is half completed. Here's a sample page.

Games Have Finally Arrived

The update you all have been waiting for is finally here and so are the games. Destiny Aurora: Renegades has finally arrived to our warehouses in Las Vegas. They will be going out over the next couple of weeks, hampered only by the holidays.

I am so looking forward to everyone receiving and playing this game. Please feel free to private message me with any missions/campaigns you feel might be fun and if we agree, we'll post them on the B&B website.

Also if you paint your figures, please send pics and we'll post some of those as well.

 In other news, the 3rd Novel is almost complete and will go into editing at the beginning of the year. Here's a preview of the cover, though it's still a work in progress.

If you've been following the story, this sets the stage for the final battle between Jayce and So'len Frae. I will be running a Kickstarter just after the beginning of the year for a KS Exclusive printing of the first 3 issues combined into a single graphic novel.

In February we'll be launching a Kickstarter for our newest game featuring spinning gyroscopes called Medakor.

DESTINY AURORA GAMES SHIPPED FROM CHINA

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

PAX was great even though it was a little more chilly for us Cali-guys than we're used to. Feedback was great and we played a bunch of demos. We unveiled our new Medakor Game and Noises at Night, both coming to KS at the beginning of the year.  

The great news I was able to unveil is that Destiny Aurora will be shipped from China tomorrow. So the wait is finally over.

As I reported during the last update the Expansion Figures, T-Shirts, Books, Comics, Badges, etc. are already at the warehouse in Las Vegas ready for shipment to your homes.

In other news, I'm hoping to have the first draft of the 3rd book completed by the end of the year. I have about 12,000 words left to write.
